Part of a growing series from the Secret Seed Society designed for the supervised play of children aged 3 years+ in the garden, kitchen and around the dinner table.
Story & Seed packs contain an illustrated storybook, seeds, growing instructions and a recipe so children can follow their food on a journey from plant to plate.
Story Book
'What will I be?' by Emily Capstick tells the tale of Carla Carrot who is desperate to know what she will be when she grows up. An invitation to the grand opening of Seed City Museum proves more than and inspiration and Grandpa Swede is on hand to share his wisdom. The story looks at how we can be inspired by history and how we discover our own identity and purpose in life.
Organic Seeds
Carrots can be grown in pots, barrels, beds and grow bags. Sow undercover early March, outside late March - July. Harvest May- Mid October. They take 8-11 weeks to reach maturity.
Recipe
Having grown some carrots children are guided to create a bright orange soup. Row Marker Sticks - We didn’t want you losing your carrots so we have provided 2 wooden row marker sticks which can be decorated before use.
