Story Book
'Mighty Messenger' by Stephanie Hegarty tells the amusing story of Mingo Mung who needs lights for his bike now that Autumn has come. It is beautifully illustrated by Valentina Cavallini. It is a story book for 'reading together' and talking about.
Organic Seeds
Mung Beans can be grown all year round inside, in a small space and take about 3 days. These are easy to grow with a little adult help and can keep children interested in gardening in the winter and also provide fresh tasty vegetables when locally sourced greens are more difficult to find.
Recipe
Having sprouted their mung beans children are guided to use their imagination to combine their bean sprouts with their choice of ingredients, to create a tasty meal!
